How do I properly get my game out there? I am losing motivation
So in my last blog I finally started to market my indie game what I am working on as an experienced indie dev and I can say that the game development isn't the most hectic thing but it is marketing that is waayyyyy harder.
I have made accounts on reddit, twitter, itch.io and many other sites just for marketing and there is one thing which I noticed that the indie dev community is everywhere and nearly every dev is out there grinding and struggling in marketing. I have seen indie devs showing their beautiful game designs and getting like 10 likes and 30 views or so. And this is the same story on all platforms, and the traction that these games are getting are just other indie devs trying to market their games (not regular people).
All this has made me very sceptical that my game will ever get out there. I took the day off yesterday and now whenever I sit down to work on my game I have these thoughts lurking that I am doing this for nothing and all the work will be in vain, however I am still hoping that It will work out somehow (or atleast I am forcing myself to hope that for now).
My last blog got 7 views which for me is good for now so I am going to keep working on this. I know that if I ever want to collect funds for my study abroad (atleast in this industry) then I have to force myself to not give up. And that is what I am going to do for now.
If you all have any suggestions then please kindly drop a comment and also follow me here for further updates or just to give me some motivation.
